Strengthen financially, farmers told
Minister for Endowments A Indrakaran Reddy asked the farmers to cultivate crops with competitive spirit to strengthen themselves financially.

He was the chief guest at cheques distribution for land oustees of Sadarmat barrage and sheep distribution for golla and kuruma communities here on Monday.
The Minister lauded the State government for implementing several welfare schemes for farmers including round-the-clock power supply and providing Rs 4,000 per acre as investment for crops.
He distributed cheques worth Rs 34.64 crore among 260 farmers towards compensation for the land acquired from them. Earlier, he distributed 39 sheep units to the beneficiaries.
Joint Collector Ch Shiva Lingaiah, NREGS state committee director Harish Rao, FACS chairman Ram Kishan Reddy and officials of various departments, people’s representatives and farmers attended the programme.
