Sri Rama Navami was celebrated with religious fervour and gaiety across the district on Monday. The celestial wedding of Lord Rama and His Consort Sita Devi was celebrated at different temples that were elaborately decorated with flowers and leaves marking the festival. Large number of devotees turned up at the celebrations along with several VIPs.

The celestial wedding of Lord Rama and His Consort Sita Devi was celebrated at different temples that were elaborately decorated with flowers and leaves marking the festival. Large number of devotees turned up at the celebrations along with several VIPs.
At Sri Venkateshwara Temple in Teachers Colony in Hanamkonda, Deputy Chief Minister K Srihari took part in the celebrations along with his family members and offered ‘silk vastrams’ and ‘thalambralu’ to the deities.
Similarly, Warangal Urban District Collector Amrapali Kata attended the celebrations at Sitaramachandra Swamy Temple at Revenue Colony offering ‘silk vastrams’ and ‘thalambralu’ to the deities. The VIPs were given a traditional welcome by the priests at the temples.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy CM said Sri Rama Navami festival was a celebration that brings true happiness and joy to the devotees. All should remember instructions of Lord Rama and follow them as they give them the strength and courage to fight against all odds of life.
At Kazipet Sri Anjaneya Swamy Temple, Warangal West MLA D Vinay Bhasker participated in the celestial wedding along with his family members and offered silk vastrams and ‘mutyala talambralu’ to
the deities.
At Vidyaranyapuri Vijaya Ganapathi, as many as 3,500 devotees attended Sri Rama Navami celebrations, where the temple priest Vijayasarada Charyulu performed the celestial wedding as a writer NVN Chary presented the commentary.
Warangal Central Prison administration has organised Sri Rama Navami celebrations giving an opportunity to the inmates to witness Sita Rama Kalyanam. The prison superintendent N Murali Babu and his deputy GM Srinivas, jailors Narasimha Swamy, Arun Kumar and others took part in the celebration.
Sita Rama Kalyanam was celebrated in a grand manner at Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple at Inavolu. Similar celebrations were organised at Kailasa Kalyani temple at Vangara village, the native place of former PM late PV Narasimha Rao in Bheemdevarapally mandal of Warangal Urban district. Gopuja and Gokalyanam also performed at the temple.
Huge number of devotees took part in colourful Sri Rama Navami celebrations held at historic Sri Someshwara Lakshminarasimha Swamy Temple and ValmidiSri Seetaramachandra Swamy Temple in Palakurthy mandal and at historic Sri Sitarama Temple at Jeedikal in Lingala Ghanpur mandal in Jangaon district.
