Warangal: To remove inequalities and to bring the downtrodden to the justifiable levels, Government had brought the constitutional teeth to SC-ST sub-plan, averred Minister for Backward Classes Baswaraju Saraiah.
He was participating in the awareness meetings on the sub-plan titled Indiramma Kalalu at different places in Warangal city.Revealing that the justice is done only if the funds meant for SC-ST welfare are spent 100 percent to them, he said that now downtrodden gets best facilities in the areas of education, health and medical departments also.
He said that infrastructural facilities like new roads, drainage, drinking water facilities and Indiramma houses get priority in allotment to Dalits and Girijans in the state.He said that whatever is the infrastructural requirement at Dalit streets would be attended to by the Government officials and funds would be sanctioned accordingly for developing the facilities.
Additional JC B Sanjivaiah, GWMC deputy commissioner Shankar, DSWO Ramadevi, B C welfare deputy director Ramadevi and others took part in the programme. A Cultural troupes cultural programmes on the SC-ST sub-plan, KalaJata, inspired the audience.
