Warangal: Congress leader and former floor leader, ZPTCs (Zilla Parishad) Ghanta Narender Reddy lauded UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi for the successful passage of Food Security Bill in the Parliament. He averred that with this step augur to the hunger of 80 crore people below poverty line in India who would get the subsidized food items.
He was addressing the media conference in Hanamkonda on Tuesday. He said that among the democratic countries in the world, India is first in taking care of the poorer sections of the people along with the mainstream. Asserting that that it is the bold move, he felt that it is Sonia Gandhi led Congress government alone would work tirelessly for removing the poverty in the country.
Claiming the ruling coalition ruling Congress’ success in the draft of the Bill to the final passage, Congress leader countered to question that if any one stops the Bills is against the have-nots. The poor pregnant women to senior citizens were brought under the cover of all the welfare schemes including the current Food Security Bill.
Being a secular party, Ghanta Narender Reddy revealed that Congress would alone work in the interests of all sections of the people and said that Sonia Gandhi and next Rahul Gandhi were totally devoted to the public service. He urged the party cadre take the Bill to the remot areas.
