CBI Joint Director Lakshmi Narayana hurt in stampede

Bhimavaram (West Godavari): CBI Joint Director VV Lakshmi Narayana suffered a minor injury in his left leg in a stampede at Palakol in West Godavari district on Saturday. The stampede occurred when the reporters rushed to interview the officer. Later, he received treatment at a hospital in Bhimavaram. He visited the Ksheera Ramalingeswara Swamy temple in Palakol. The temple authorities welcomed the CBI JD with temple traditions. He also performed special pujas in Someswara Swamy, Mavulamma Ammavaru, Venkateshwara Swamy and Sai Baba temples in the Bhimavaram town. Replying to media queries Lakshmi Narayana said that police have rights on crimes on an incident only for 24 hours and everything else afterwards would be supervised by courts. He told the media not to sensationalise news and asked them to present facts rather than puzzles and mysteries.
