Minister seeks funds for 'Saakshara Bharat'

Minister for Primary Education, Dr Sailajanath Sake, requested the centre to consider allowing the state government to make changes in the implementation of 'Saakshara Bharat' programme, at the same time asking the centre to release funds for the same.

On Thursday, Sailajanath met MM Pallamraju, the Union Minister for Human Resource Development at Vignana Bhavan, requesting him to release funds for literacy programmes being initiated for the nomad and migrant population. Education ministers and officers from various states attended the meeting.
