The online counselling will be held simultaneously in Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Tirupati till July 29 The NTR University of Health Sciences, Vijawada has made all arrangements for the online counselling for medical and dental admissions for 2013-14 from July. The online counselling would be held simultaneously in Vijayawada, Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam and Tirupati till July 29. Speaking to the media on Sunday, the University Vice- Chancellor, Prof I V Rao, said that counselling would be held at the NTR University campus in Vijayawada, Andhra University in Visakhapatnam, Sri Venkateswara University in Tirupati and the JNTU campus in Hyderabad. The counselling would be held for all categories for the first four days from July 22 and the counselling for reservation candidates would be held from July 25 to 29. This year, counselling would be held for the police martyrs' children with 0.25 percent quota of the total seats, he added. The Vice-Chancellor said that they would fill 4,380 medical seats, of which 2,400 government, 1,650 Category A and 330 Category B seats. In the dental division, the counselling would fill 1,266 seats of which 240 from government colleges, 850 from Category A and 176 Category B seats. He said that this year the government had sanctioned 100 medical seats in Government Medical College, Nizamabad and 150 seats each in Malla Reddy Women's Medical College, Ranga Reddy and Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre, Hyderabad. In addition to these new seats, the government had also increased 50 seats each in the SV Medical College Tirupati (200), Guntur Medical College Guntur (200), Rangaraya Medical College Kakinada (200), Kurnool Medical College Kurnool (200), Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad (250), Gandhi Medical College Hyderabad (200), Kakatiya Medical College Warangal (200) and SVS Medical College Mahbubnagar (150). In the dental division, three new dental colleges have come up with 50 seats each in the State for the current academic year. They included GSL Dental College, Rajahmundry, Anil Neerukonda Institute of Dental Sciences, Visakhapatnam and Malla Reddy Institute of Dental Sciences, Hyderabad. In addition to these three colleges, the Government Dental College and Hospital in Hyderabad secured 60 seats more for the year. The Vice-Chancellor asked the candidates to attend the counselling with all the required certificates and the fee payable for the university and the college in which seat is allotted. He said that the selected candidates would have to report to their respective college by July 31, 2013 and the classes would start from August 1. In case the candidates who wish to withdraw the admission, they should also give it in writing to the registrar of the university by July 31, he added.
