Be Tech Savvy, Students Told. A three-day national level technical symposium ‘ Convergence 2k13’ kicked off on Thursday at VNR Vignana Jyothi Institute of Engineering and Technology, Nizampet, Hyderabad, with students of more than 240 colleges across Andhra Pradesh participated on the day one of the workshop.

Scientist and Co-coordinator, R&D in Information Technology, Ministry of Communication, Dr. GV Rama Raju said technological workshops helps the students to showcase their creativeness. Students should show penchant for technology and indulge in creating new products. “Creativity is the one thing students should develop to come up in their careers and future. The students should always keep an eye on the latest technologies to come up with innovative products,” he added
General Secretary of Vignana Jyothi, Dr. DN Rao said that students should always dream to become entrepreneurs. “To generate money you should have ideas, to start a business one may need money but without ideas you may not run the business. In the growing technology sector the students should have ample opportunities to grab,” Rao added.
Director, Research and Development, VNR VJIET, Dr. Subhananda Rao said engineering students should be ready for the industry requirements. They should be proficient in soft skills, technology readiness. Research and Development is the areas where the students should focus their skills to excel in careers, he added.
Principal, Dr CD Naidu, Vice-principal, Dr C Kiranmayee, Dr Ravindra Babu, Dr. AS Rao, Co-ordinators, Sivakumar, Padma Sayess, Pashwanth also participated in the symposium.
