India-born Meera Chandrasekhar, professor of physics and astronomy and Curator's Teaching Professor of Physics at the University of Missouri, has won Baylor University's 2014 Robert Foster Cherry Award for Great Teaching.

"Baylor University is very pleased to honour Dr. Chandrasekhar with Baylor's 2014 Robert Foster Cherry Award for Great Teaching," said Elizabeth Davis, executive vice president and provost at Baylor, announcing the award.
"I am deeply honoured to learn that I will receive the 2014 Robert Foster Cherry Award," Chandrasekhar said.
