Yesterday Oppo unveiled ColorOS 7 in China, which flaunts features like customisable icon options, new sound effects, revamped UI and many more. The company has also declared the rollout timeline of the newly launched OS (operating system).

The company says phase 1 rollout of ColorOS 7 will begin on 25 November in China. As per an official tweet, ColorOS 7 will arrive in India on 26 November. The company also declared that Oppo Reno 3 that is scheduled to be launched in December would be the first smartphone to feature ColorOS 7 out-of-the-box.

ColorOS 7 Features

ColorOS 7 comes with new wallpapers, re-sizing, font, and colour customisation options for icons, new system sounds, and an enhanced dark mode. The new OS also has enhanced memory optimisation, which the company claims that it helps in smoother and faster UI interactions.


When it comes to the camera, the software brings a new "night mode" along with a better portrait mode and a super steady mode for videos. A new video and image editor called Soloop has also been announced that will allow faster editing. A new "Focus mode" will also come in the game space that will improve your gaming experience.

The company also assures an enhancement of up to 40 per cent in the RAM optimisation, and it is said to bring a 25 per cent spike in startup time. According to the company, new power-saving features increase battery life by 10 per cent in daily use.
