PUBG Mobile, TikTok and 53 other iOS apps are still snooping your clipboard data

A few days back TikTok was in headlines for its suspicious behaviour of snooping on the iPhone's clipboard. While the company is yet to fix this, a couple of researchers have found an additional 53 iOS apps that work similarly.

Ars Technica reported that these 53 apps discovered by researchers Talal Haj Bakry and Tommy Mysk in March have still not stopped snooping on the iOS device's clipboards. These apps peek on the devices saved clipboard, which may have sensitive data like IDs and passwords, every time they are opened or closed.

The list not only includes some shady apps that you never heard earlier but for some popular apps as well, few of them you might be using regularly. These share the data found in the clipboard with the other nearby device that uses the same Apple ID. The report also suggests that was made live in March, 10% Happier: Meditation and Hotel Tonight promised to eliminate this behaviour. TikTok also promised the same but did not fix it yet.
