3 students drown in lake in Nizamabad

Three students accidentally slipped into a lake at Nagaram in Nizamabad outskirts on Friday.

According to the police, the students came out from their class for namaz in the afternoon and found dead in the lake near the government playground. As they did not return to the class, the school teachers informed their parents who launched a hunt for the children.

During the night, locals noticed the body of a student floating on water and alerted the police. The police fished out the bodies of the other children on Saturday morning.

Of the three, two were pursuing Class 4 and another was a Class 3 student.

The police registered a case and launched an investigation.
