Amrutha Ahaaram camp inaugurated
The 8th edition of ‘Amrutha Ahaaram’ camp was inaugurated by Dr GBK Rao, CMD, Pragati Resorts, on Friday.
Chevella: The 8th edition of 'Amrutha Ahaaram' camp was inaugurated by Dr GBK Rao, CMD, Pragati Resorts, on Friday. Dr Sarala Khadar will guide and mentor the participants of the programme for five days. While addressing the registered members, Dr GBK Rao said, "Be your own doctor, your health is in your hands. By taking healthy diet, you can be away from diseases".
He elaborated on the treasure of sacred herbal and medicinal plants and heritage cows at the Pragati Resorts. He said not all herbal plants at Pragati have been prescribed by Dr Khadar Vali for herbal decoctions, due to their scant availability, and protect them from extinction.
He reeled out a list of herbal plants viz. Punarnava, Kalpavruksham, Ranapala, All Spices, Sadaapaaku, Madhuka, Ippapuvvu, Brahmakamalam, Brahmakumari, Ganuga, Insulin plant, Parijatham, Vepa, and lavanga tulasi.
About all these herbal plants he provided features and their uses for each medical condition. Dr GBK Rao said that only when takes herbal decoctions with pure heart and mind, these decoctions would have their complete effect. Quoting that health is wealth, Dr Rao said when there are trees and cows all around us, our health is assured.
