An argument on playing songs in a marriage procession in Jagtial claimed a youngster's life on Thursday night. The incident occurred in Bheemaram village of Medipally mandal.

The victim, Pudari Lakshman and others danced in the marriage procession. Later, an argument broke out between Lakshman and three men to play their favourite songs by DJ during the procession. Lakshman called his brother over phone who rushed to the spot and then went back to his village as he lost his mobile phone. When he turned to the procession, Lakshman was nowhere seen.

After searching, he found the injured body of his brother in a street. It was suspected the three men might have stabbed Lakshman to death and escaped.

The police were alerted over the incident who rushed in and arrested one of three people for questioning. Meanwhile, Lakshman's body was taken to Korutla hospital morgue. An investigation is underway.
