Asifabad dist tops in Graduate MLC polls

Adilabad: The backword district Komaram Bheem-Asifabad topped with highest percentage of votes while Mancherial district stood last in MLC Graduates election as there is a substantial dip in turnout of voters held on Friday, in the undivided A highest percentage of votes while Mancherial district stood last in MLC Graduates election as there is a substantial dip in turnout of voters held on Friday, in the undivided Adilabad district.

According to the information provided by authorities concerned, there are a total of 7,789 Graduates votes in Adilabad district and 4,462 votes were polled registering a polling percentage of 57.28.

In Komaram Bheem-Asifabad district, out of the total 4,355 votes, 2,676 were polled registering a polling percentage of 61.45.

In Mancherial, out of the total votes of 13,980, 7,498 votes were polled with a polling percentage of 53.68.

Nirmal district registered 56.69 per cent polling as 6,999 votes out of the total 12,345 were polled.

In Teachers MLC elections, Nirmal district stood first and Komaram Bheem-Asifabad district was in the last in polling percentage. In Nirmal district, there are 1,738 teachers votes and 1,428 were polled registering a polling percentage of 82.

In Adilabad district, there are 1,554 teachers votes and 1,253 were polled, registering a polling percentage of 82.63.

Komaram Bheem-Asifabad district registered poll percentage of 77.69 as 383 out of the total 493 votes were polled and in Mancherial district, only 52 votes were polled out of the total 279 and the poll percentage is 18.
