Large number of police personnel deployed at RTC depots to thwart any untoward incidents

Police deployed large number of its personnel at the bus depots in three police commissionerate's of Hyderabad, Cyberabad and Rachakonda limits to thwart any untoward incidents as RTC employees and its union leaders called for protests.

As conductor and driver aspirants in large number rushed to Hayathnagar depot for their enrollment to work as temporary conductors and drivers tension prevailed at the premises. The aspirants reached to the spot since 6 am and hundreds of aspirants started gathering at the depot in huge numbers.

But when no officials were there to deal with them and after losing patience they staged protest against the behaviour of officials. Police intervened and brought the situation under control. Some of the aspirants said that they came to help the government in providing services to the public to avoid inconvenience to the passengers but the officials are not in a position to use their services.

They added that as the government declared to recruit new employees in RTC, they came to test their luck and opportunities by thinking that the posts will be made permanent in future on their performance.
