Karimnagar: Additional DCP (Administration) S Srinivas directed the police front counter staff to behave politely with the people, who approach police stations to lodge complaints.

A one-day training programme for the police front counter staff was held at the conference hall of police Commissionerate in Karimnagar on Wednesday.

The chief guest at the training programme, Additional DCP Srinivas said that it is the responsibility of the front counter staff to listen to the problems of the people with patience and to pass on the complaints to the superiors for solving them. They must behave with people like a receptionist working in a hospital do for giving them better medical treatment. They must also possess sound knowledge of various wings of the police department so that it would become easy to them for coordinating with several officials of respective departments, he added.

Additional DCP (Administration) Srinivas said the front counter staff must have the curiosity to learn new things and modern technology, which would enable them to discharge their duties perfectly. They should utilise computers, scanners and other devices that are provided in every police station. By rendering better services to the people, the police department will get name and respect from people and the prestige of the department will also increase, he said.

Additional DCP Chandramohan, Karimnagar Rural Inspector Tula Srinivas Rao, Cyber Lab in-charge Reserve Sub-inspector Murali were present along with others.
