Hydernagar: State BJP Executive Committee member Jnanendra Prasad on Tuesday questioned Municipal Administration Minister K Tarakarama Rao's contention of changing the face of Hydernagar division by developing it as a model.
Speaking during the 'Basti Bata' programme taken up by the party in the division, under the leadership of Naveen Goud, after garlanding Dr B R Ambedkar's statue, Prasad accused KTR of not honouring his promises made during the election campaign. He claimed that no problem of the division has been solved by the ruling party so far.
The BJP leader alleged that government schools have turned into 'bhooth banglas', while pointing out that issues like lake beautification, street lighting, underground drainage, water contamination, incomplete roads, piled up garbage and lack of sanitation were persisting. These were causing hardship to people, he stated.
Among those who participated in the 'Basti Bata' programme were party leaders Keshav, Veera Chary, M K Dev, Srinivas, Raju, Pavan, Venugopal, Sangeeta, Yellesh, Karunakar, Badri, Yuva Morcha State leader Arun, Yuva morcha Assembly constituency convener Jithendar, besides State and district and constituency-level activists. They went round Hydernagar locality to become aware of people's problems.
