Blood donation camp held to help Thalassemia patients
The Integrated Tribal Development Agency Project Officer, VP Gowtham, inaugurated a blood donation camp organised by the Red Cross Society for the Thalassemia people on Wednesday.
Bhadrachalam: The Integrated Tribal Development Agency Project Officer, VP Gowtham, inaugurated a blood donation camp organised by the Red Cross Society for the Thalassemia people on Wednesday.
On the occasion of World Thalassemia Day, the Red cross Society organised a blood donation camp at Red Cross Bhavan at Bhadrachalam.
Speaking on the occasion, the PO urged people to donate blood so that it would be used to save the lives of patients suffering from Thalassemia. He also requested the Red Cross to extend its services to all in the agency villages. Later, the Project Officer also donated the blood.
Red Cross Society representatives' Dr SL Kantha Rao, Raji Reddy, T Siddhulu, T Sudhakar Rao, G Shanker Rao, Y Suryanarayana, Dr Yugandar and others attended the programme.
