Central team takes stock of Covid situation in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Central team led by Joint Secretary, Union Health Ministry Lav Agarwal reached Hyderabad on Sunday. Soon after they went to Dhobi Galli in Domalguda to examine the situation there.
On Monday, the central team will be meeting senior officials of the health department and also of GHMC to enquire about the Covid situation in the State and spike in cases in GHMC limits. Visiting Gandhi hospital and other isolation centres is on the cards.
The team will be co-ordinating with the State to strengthen ongoing efforts in management of Covid-19. It consists of public health experts, epidemiologists, clinicians.
The team is coming off to Telangana after visiting Gujarat and Maharashtra. It may be mentioned here that Centre has dashed off teams to the three States-Gujarat, Maharashtra and Telangana between June 26 to 29 in view of big surge in cases in these States.
