The prisons department Director General Vinay Kumar Singh was invited as the chief guest for the opening of agriculture area at Cherlapally on Wednesday. He inaugurated hair cutting saloon, computer lab and ayurvedic village in the agriculture area. Patients who got treated in the Ayurvedic village expressed their happiness towards the results.

Cherlapally: The prisons department Director General Vinay Kumar Singh was invited as the chief guest for the opening of agriculture area at Cherlapally on Wednesday. He inaugurated hair cutting saloon, computer lab and ayurvedic village in the agriculture area. Patients who got treated in the Ayurvedic village expressed their happiness towards the results.

Vinay Kumar Singh said "Prison department has improved a lot in the last four to five years. We are working very hard introducing welfare schemes to staff like Rs 10 lakh loan for women marriage and Rs 5 lakh loan for overseas education. Singh said inaugurating 1,000 petrol bunks across Telangana was the main motto through which prisoners and unemployed candidates would get a source of employment.

Supervisor Y Rajesh explained about the development done by agricultural area and also introduction of computer knowledge to the prisoners. IG Akula Narsimha, DIG Saidayya, MR Bhaskar, Sammayya, Dasaradham, Jailers Ashok Kumar, Sobhan Babu, Rathnam, Devlanayak, Maheswari, Deputy jailor Sami, teacher Prashanth and others participated in the programme.
