Chevella all set for Lok Sabha elections
All arrangements have been made for the Lok Sabha elections to Chevalla Parliamentary constituency. The official machinery prepared electoral teams for districts and constituencies. The administration is making preparations to avoid any untoward incident during the election process.

According to the Election Commission's orders, the officers of the respective government departments have been handed over the electoral duties. There are three levels of hierarchy - presiding officer, assistant presiding officer and other presiding officers - have been constituted. There are over 2,000 staff in each department. Flying squad, video viewing, video surveillance and statistics surveillance teams have been set up.
The staff of the two districts of Rangreddy and Vikarabad are ready for the duties of the Lok Sabha constituency. In Rangareddy, a total of 13,964 personnel has been allotted election duties with 20 per cent reserve staff, while, in Vikarabad, 3,832 personnel have been allotted election duties. These include PO, APO and OPOs along with election returning officer and nodal officers. The Returning Officers of the Assembly Elections are now acting as the Returning Officers for the Lok Sabha elections.
There are 23 candidates competing for the Chevella Lok Sabha seat. They have been vigorously campaigning for ten days in rural areas. Candidates are interacting with the voters through door-to-door campaigns in Maheshwaram, Rajendranagar, Serilingampalli, Chevella, Vikarabad, Parigi and Tandur constituencies.
There is a total of 617,169 voters in Serlingampalli constituency and 2,14,274 voters in Tandur constituency. The Election Commission has released a final list of voters. A total of 24,42,039 voters are there in seven assembly segments of Chevella Parliamentary constituency. Out of which female voters constitute 11,78,979 and 12,63,830 male voters and 230 transgenders in Chevella, Serilingampalli, Rajendranagar, Maheshwaram, Parigi, Vikarabad and Tandur constituencies.
