Collector Ayesha Masrat Khanam stresses on curbing tobacco use
A coordination meeting on curtailing use of tobacco products was held here under the aegis of District Collector Ayesha Masrat Khanam.
Vikarabad: A coordination meeting on curtailing use of tobacco products was held here under the aegis of District Collector Ayesha Masrat Khanam. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector directed the officials to organise rallies, awareness camps to discourage the use of tobacco products.
She also told them to select PHCs at Yalal, Navalga, Daulatabad, Tharur as pilot project and conduct door-to-door household survey to curb the tobacco consumption. The Collector said 'no smoking' zones must be created, and signboards also be kept in selected public places. Levy fines, if anyone violates, she ordered.
Dr Sudhakar, additional SP Bhaskar, DEO Renuka Devi, MV Foundation Venkataiah, programme officer Radhika Rani, Dr Shivaraj, Dy DMHO Dr Saibaba and others were present.
