Congress leaders demand immediate removal of MLC Tata Madhu

Khanapur: Congress party leaders on Tuesday demanded the immediate removal of MLC Tata Madhu, alleging that his remarks against Telangana Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad were inappropriate and had brought disrepute to society.

Congress leaders staged a protest in Khanapur town wearing black badges and organized a dharna and rasta roko at Telangana Chowk. The protest was led by Congress President Jangili Shankar and Town President Gorre Gangadhar.

Addressing the gathering, the Congress leaders alleged that the BRS was inherently anti-Dalit and accused its leaders of being unable to accept Dalits occupying prominent constitutional positions. They strongly condemned the alleged remarks made by Tata Madhu against Speaker Gaddam Prasad and termed them an insult to Telangana society.

The leaders also criticized BRS leaders K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), T. Harish Rao and Kaushik Reddy, alleging that their conduct was unbecoming of senior political leaders. They further demanded that BRS supremo and Opposition Leader K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) resign from his position.

The protest was attended by DCC Vice-President Rajura Satyam, DCC representative Donikeni Dayanand, DCC Secretary Ankam Rajender, PSCS Chairman Ammand Srinivas, Atma Committee Chairman Thota Satyam, AMC Vice-Chairman Abdul Majeed and Mandal General Secretary Veeresh, among others.

The Congress leaders reiterated their demand for action against Tata Madhu and said remarks against constitutional authorities should not be tolerated
