Mothkur (Yadadri-Bhongir): Education Minister G Jagadish Reddy has stated that decades-old Congress that ruled the country for many years was losing its charm in the State due to mistakes committed by its leaders during the party regime.

On Thursday, he participated in party workers meeting in Mothkur of Tungaturthi Constituency. Addressing the gathering , he termed Congress as a party of hallow assurances. Even though many leaders of the Congress party emerged as State leaders and cabinet ministers from erstwhile Nalgonda district, they did nothing for the development of the district, he said.

Jagadish held Congress senior leaders Uttam Kumar Reddy, Jana Reddy, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Ramreddy Damoder Reddy responsible for pitiable condition of the district and spreading of fluoride from Munugodu to other places in the district. "The so called Congress leaders of the district were enjoying their political posts and were playing the role of a mute spectator when Andhra rulers were looting the resources of the region," he alleged.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao with his vision and proper planning has changed the fate of the State in a short span of five years and successfully put the Telangana on top position in the country by implementing innovative welfare schemes and development activities, he said.

He listed out the TRS government's achievements in the last five years with facts and figures, and promised the people that State government would speed up governance once election code was lifted.

He urged the people to back TRS in Parishad elections for the development of villages in the State.

Tungaturthi MLA Gadhari Kishore, party local leaders and a large number of workers attended the meeting.
