Narketpally (Nalgonda): Congress leader and party ZPTC candidate from Narketpally Komatireddy Mohan Reddy alleged that though he won the election, TRS candidate Banda Narender Reddy made to announce himself as a winner by 11 votes with wrong calculation of votes by threatening the respective officials at the counting centre.
Addressing the media in Nalgonda on Thursday, Mohan Reddy said even though he requested the officials concerned for recounting, they denied his proposal under political pressure and favoured the ruling party candidate.
He informed that he had approached the court that accepted his appeal and issued notices to the officials concerned. He exuded confidence that he would emerge as winner in the recounting. Congress party leaders Gummala Mohan Reddy, ZPTC Vanguri Laxmaiah, MPP M Suman and others attended the press meet.
