Nizamabad: DM&HO Sudarshan flagged off deworming awareness rally at Government District General Hospital here on Wednesday.
Later speaking on the occasion, he said that deworming is compulsory to control diseases and the deworming programme will begin from Thursday morning. Albendazole tablets will be given for all children aged below 19 years for deworming.
Sudarshan said anaemia also can be prevented with deworming pills, which will also increase immunity. Deputy DM&HO Thukaram, Sivakumar, Dr Pratimaraj, ICDS officer Swarnalatha, Ganapuram Venkateshwar, Govardhan, Naveen, Venkati and others participated in the rally.
