Hyderabad: Donations poured in from all sections for relief to the poor in Telangana in crisis time. Several prominent personalities have extended their support and announced donations for the government initiatives to help the poor with supply of essential commodities during the lock down period imposed to curtail spread of Corona virus in the state.

Anupama Venugopal Nadella, wife of Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella announced a donation of Rs two crore. A cheque for Rs two crore was handed over to Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao by Anupama's father and former senior IAS officer KR Venugopal at CM's camp office Pragati Bhavan.

Government employees and teachers have also donated a day's basic salary. Employees JAC leaders Karem Ravinder Reddy and Mamata handed over the cheque to the CM.

They said that the one-day wages of employees and teachers amounting to Rs 48 crore was given for the CM Welfare Fund. Film hero Nitin also handed over a cheque for Rs 10 Lakh to KCR. The CM thanked them all.

TRS leader and MLC P Srinivas Reddy also announced donating his month's salary to the CM welfare fund to be utilised for the relief measures during the crisis time in the state.
