Dr Ambedkar a great reformer: Dr K Laxman
State BJP president Dr K Laxman on Friday garlanded Dr B R Ambedkar’s statue at Kukatpally Y Junction to mark his 63rd anniversary observed by the party’s Medchal district unit.
Kukatpally: State BJP president Dr K Laxman on Friday garlanded Dr B R Ambedkar's statue at Kukatpally Y Junction to mark his 63rd anniversary observed by the party's Medchal district unit. Medchal district president Madhavaram Kantha Rao was present.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Laxman described Dr Ambedkar as a social reformer and intellectual known for writing the constitution. He lauded the Centre for awarding the Bharat Ratna to Dr Ambedkar.
Kantha Rao stated that Dr Ambedkar was the recipient of 17 degrees and known as 'vishwa ratna' who strove throughout his life for the bettering the lot of dalits. Those present included Balajinagar division Corporator Pannala Kavya Reddy, the division unit president, senior party and Yuva Morcha leaders.
