Drunk man axes wife to death in Munagala mandal
In an inebriated condition, a man attacked his wife, Bhulakshmi (35) with an axe at Kalakova village in Munagala mandal on Monday.
Munagala (Suryapet): In an inebriated condition, a man attacked his wife, Bhulakshmi (35) with an axe at Kalakova village in Munagala mandal on Monday.
Neighbours have shifted the victim, who was lying in a pool of blood, to a local hospital and later to district headquarters hospital in Khammam for better treatment.
However, she succumbed to injuries. According to sources, Srinu and Bhulakshmi got married 19 years ago. As Srinu was habituated to liquor drinking, Bhulakshmi was staying with her parents for the last ten years at Kalakova village.
Srinu used to visit the village and enter into an altercation with wife frequently.
The children of deceased said that her father has been threatening to kill her mother for the last ten days. Srinu, who fled from the spot after committing crime, was in police custody.
