EFLU bags first prize in garden maintenance
The university received the first prize for the second time in the Central Government Institutions category
Osmania University: The English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU) bagged the first prize in the Garden Festival 2019, organized by the Department of Horticulture, Government of Telangana.
This is the second time that the university won the first prize.
The university received the first prize in Central Government Institutions category.
The award is given annually in different categories based on the quality of garden maintenance in various sectors.
The award is the result of the Go-Green initiative undertaken after Prof.
Suresh Kumar assumed office as the vice chancellor, the university authorities said in a statement.
Many fruit-bearing and ornamental trees have been planted in the last two years, making the EFLU campus green and environment-friendly.
Special attention was paid to the development and maintenance of lawns and parks on the campus, they said.
On the occasion, Suresh Kumar appreciated the efforts of the garden staff and encouraged them to keep up the good work.
