Nagarkurnool: A cattle health and reproductive disease treatment camp was conducted at Nallavelli village in Nagarkurnool mandal on Wednesday under the supervision of Veterinary Assistant Surgeon Dr T Kalpana.
During the camp, veterinary doctors treated reproductive diseases in 42 buffaloes and 10 cows and provided medicines to 24 calves. Farmers were also given guidance on preventive measures to protect cattle from reproductive diseases and maintain their health.
Dr Kalpana explained various government schemes and advised farmers on setting up sheds for cows, buffaloes, pigs and poultry under the VBG Ramji scheme. Information was also provided on Azolla cultivation and obtaining bank loans through Kisan Credit Cards.
Village Sarpanch Venkataswamy, Deputy Sarpanch Ramachandra Reddy, Panchayat Secretary Rajeswari, Field Assistant Kavitha, veterinary staff Vanaja, Satish and Kurumurthy, along with farmers attended the programme.
