Gadwal: Procurement of red gram to be stopped from tomorrow
The Gadwal Primary Agriculture Cooperative Society (PACS) officials have informed the red gram farmers that from February 2, there would be no procurement of red gram at the government procurement centres in the district.

While informing this through a release, Venkateshwar Reddy, Chief Executive officer (CEO) of PACS said that already the Gadwal procurement centre had almost reached the target set by the government and moreover, as the State government had announced to conduct elections for the agriculture market committees, the farmers have been informed not to bring their red gram produce to the markets from February 2 onwards.
"The Gadwal district has already reached the set target of red gram procurement and as the government has also announced elections, we have decided to stop the procurement from February 2," informed the CEO.
