Government medical college will benefit common people: IMA State vice-president Dr BN Rao.
elangana State Indian Medical Association (IMA) appreciated the efforts of Health Minister Eatala Rajender in getting sanction for establishing government medical colleges in Karimnagar, Khamman, Sangareddy and Tandur.
Nizamabad: Telangana State Indian Medical Association (IMA) appreciated the efforts of Health Minister Eatala Rajender in getting sanction for establishing government medical colleges in Karimnagar, Khamman, Sangareddy and Tandur. Once government medical college is established, it would improve the quality of medical services, thereby benefitting common people, said IMA State vice-president Dr BN Rao.
As per World Health Organisation (WHO) standards, one qualified doctor should be available for every 1,000 population, but in our country, there is one doctor for 10,000 population, he said. IMA appealed the Central government health ministry to speed up the process of sanctioning medical colleges to these districts.
He requested the MPs of respective districts to make use of their proximity and exercise their right with the Centre in getting medical colleges sanctioned to their districts.
DR BN Rao praised that Telangana is fortunate to have a dynamic and committed leader Eatala Rajender Rao as the Health Minister. IMA is really thankful to Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao
and Health Minister Eatala Rajender for their untiring persistent persuasion in getting four new government medical colleges, which will help the common people by taking care of their health.
