Heatwave warning issued in Telangana for the next two days

The temperature is expected to be higher than normal over the next two days, on Sunday and Monday especially in Hyderabad.

Hyderabad: On Friday the IMD has issued heatwave warning in Telangana state for April 27, Sunday and April 28, Monday.

The temperature is expected to be around 38 to 41 degree Celsius over the next three days, from Sunday to Tuesday especially in Hyderabad.

The IMD says heatwave conditions are likely to exist over some parts of Telangana for these two days. The mercury level has already touched 45 degree Celsius in few districts such as Adilabad, Asifabad, Mancherial, Peddapalle, Karimnagar, Jagtial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Mulug and Jayashankar-Bhupalpally.

The Telangana State Development Planning Society (TSDPS) forecasts, at many places the maximum temperature is expected to be two to three degree Celsius higher than normal. "The maximum temperature will be in the range of 39 to 44 degree Celsius for next three days," TSDPS report read.

In the meantime, the IMD has forecast thunderstorms with heavy winds up to 40-50 kmph on April 29 and 30 in Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore districts.

In coastal Andhra Pradesh Rains are expected due to Cyclone Fani which is expected to hit on April 29 or 30.
