Hyderabad: As part of a special drive against unauthorized structures, the town planning wing of GHMC has identified 29 unauthorised structures so far. On Tuesday, the Chanda Nagar circle staff took up demolitions in Gurukul trust lands by using 11 compressors, 3 gas Cutters, 2 JCBs and demolished three complete ground level structures, and another three on-going constructions totally.
GHMC Commissioner DS Lokesh Kumar had on Monday said that as part of special drive, three teams pressed into service 11 compressors, gas cutters, 2 JCBs and demolished three ground-level structures and six ongoing buildings completely.
As part of protecting the government lands, a survey was conducted and found that illegal structures were coming up in Gurukul Trust Lands. About 15 illegal structures were demolished in the last week. The Commissioner appealed to the citizens not to indulge in unauthorised buildings which may cause irreparable loss. This special drive of unauthorized demolitions would continue further, he added.
