Hyderabad: More than 310 Covid patients who did not have any fever for last three days have been considered fit for discharge for home isolation by Gandhi hospital on Monday. However, 310 of them have facility to stay in home isolation and gave their consent to go home. While anther 83 patients would be kept in government quarantine facilities in Nature Cure hospital, Begumpet and Government Ayurveda Hospital, Erragadda.

Each patient was given a kit comprising medicines, mask, gloves, sanitiser and prescription form. This discharge decision was taken according to ICMR's recent discharge guidelines under which home isolation is allowed for positive patients who do not have fever for three consecutive days while being treated in the hospital.

Thirty ambulances and three buses were arranged by the Gandhi Hopital administration to send home isolation patients to their residences. Meanwhile, another 67 recovered patients were discharged from Gandhi Hospital. Overall nearly 450 patients were discharged in one go thus reducing the patients overload at Gandhi Hospital that had more than 1700 active cases as on Sunday.

Also, the number of critical Covid patients who are either on oxygen support or on ventilator is roughly 60.
