Hyderabad: In a twist of tale events a man who kidnapped a five-year-old from a pavement in Malakpet on Tuesday, has been declared corona positive, thus the child and his mother are also being tested as they have shown the symptoms. Apart from it, the cops who investigated the case are also under self-quarantine now.
According to Chaderghat police, the accused Ibrahim, a resident of Talabkatta kidnapped 5-year-old Sadullah on Tuesday and was rescued the next day after a thorough investigation. But, when the accused was being taken to court for hearing verdict, he started showing symptoms, so he was immediately taken to a hospital rather than court, where he was declared positive of Covid-19.
P Sateesh, Inspector of Chaderghat said "As soon as the accused was declared positive of coronavirus, we suspected that the child whom he kidnapped might have also contacted the virus. So, we sent the child and his mother for testing and their results are still awaited."
"Moreover, the staff which worked on the case has been instructed to self-quarantine and get a checkup immediately to avoid the further spread of Covid-19. Once the accused is treated, then the regular proceedings will begin against him," said the inspector.
