Hyderabad: Mohammad Areef who killed in encounter in Disha case had most bullet injuries

Mohammad Areef Pasha, the main accused in the rape and murder case of Hyderabad veterinary doctor Disha had most bullet injuries during Friday's encounter at Chatanpalli in Shadnagar.

According to the investigation team that visited the encounter site, Areef was shot thrice in the chest and also had injuries on the right side of his lower ribcage. Remaining three accused were also had most bullet injuries in the chest.

Areef was the first one among the accused who opened fire at the police after snatching guns from them.

While Jollu Naveen has two bullet injuries on the neck and chest, Jollu Shiva and Chennakeshavulu also had at least two bullet injuries. However, the police are looking for the missing bullets on the site.

After the encounter, the bodies of the accused were preserved at Mahbubnagar hospital. The bodies are likely to be handed over to the family today.
