Hyderabad: Residents worry over water & power supply

Rajendranagar : Demanding uninterrupted power supply during the summer, a delegation of Shivrampally village led by Director Zilla Grandhalaya Samastha Korani Dayanand, on Tuesday called on Sub-Engineer, Transco and presented a memorandum with a host of issues.

The delegation asked the official to fix the sagging power cables and change the damaged wires to ensure no power shutdown during the summer season. They also discussed the issue of quality power supply to the consumers during peak days. They urged the official to take up all necessary arrangements to minimize the power disruption during the coming summer season. Later on, the delegation also met the HMWS&SB General Manager Ambati Prabhakar Rao and handed over a representation requesting proper water supply during the summertime.

During the meeting, the members of delegation and the official discussed at length the misuse of drinking water and the importance of a concerted efforts to curb waste of water. The issue of leakages in different colonies also came up during the discussion and officials were asked to change the pipe lines wherever necessary. As the summer season is about to set, the groundwater would deplete in the month of February.

The delegation urged the officials of HMWS&SB to take all possible measures to ensure adequate water supply to the citizens to avoid inconvenience during the peak summer season. Members of Shivrampalli Area Committee such as AK Suryam, Panbula Rajesh, Burla Suman and others were present at the occasion.
