The arrested ones were identified as Pappuram Devasi, Sukhdev Singh Chowha, Manchiram Devasi and Dudaram Gurjar and were natives of Rajasthan.

According to police, all the accused persons involved in the crime did not have any previous criminal history, but they managed to loot the gold and silver ornaments from a jeweller shop on the intervening night of June 11th and 12th. When the shop owner Happuram Seervi arrived at his shop on 12th morning he was shocked to notice that his shop was burgled. He immediately filed a police complaint based on the complaint investigation began.

Mahesh Bhagwat, Rachakonda Police Commissioner, in a press conference noted, "The accused no. 1 Pappuram Devasi was the mastermind behind the burglary. He started working at the jeweller shop a few months ago and accused no. 2 Sukhdev Singh was already working in the same shop and was staying in a room allotted by the owner. The accused no. 1 who was unhappy with his earnings colluded with accused no. 2 and hatched a conspiracy to commit theft."

"The owner of the jeweller shop used to instruct the accused no. 1 to lock the shop while closing it. However on the night when the accused and his aides planned to commit robbery, the accused no. 1 did not lock the shutter and just handed over the keys to the owner pretending it to be locked. Happuram trusted the accused Pappuram and left the place. After the owner left the shop, the accused dialed his associates and they entered the shop after breaking the CCTV cameras and committed the theft," added the officer.

However all the accused involved in the crime were arrested under section 457, 380 of IPC and the stolen property was also recovered from their possession.
