The Hyderabad district TNGOs Union’s fifth sports meet was held at LB Stadium here on Wednesday
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad district TNGOs Union's fifth sports meet was held at LB Stadium here on Wednesday. Sports Authority of Telangana State (SATS) chairman A Venkateshwar Reddy and Waqf Board Chairman Mohd Saleem were the chief guests. They unveiled the national flag and TNGO flag.
Addressing the participants, Saleem expressed confidence that the TNGO Union would always extend full support Hyderabad district chapter. Venkateshwar Reddy lauded SM Hussain (Muzeeb), the man behind the meet, for his selfless service. He promised to make efforts for the participation of TNGO Union cricket team at the national level in the future. He said that the State government would organise sports for downtrodden children.
Assistant Commissioner Jupalli Narsing Rao, district unit secretary K Devender, treasurer J Balraj, vice-president S Vikram Kumar, Umar Khan, secretary K Srinivas, joint secretary Naresh Kumar, Khalid Ahmed, Shankar, Venkatesh, members Srikanth, Qutbuddin, Shiva Kumar, Sridhar Naidu, Md Waheed, former secretary G Prabhakar and former DRO AM Chandrasekhar were among those present.
Results: In a semi-final match, organised as part of the sports meet, between Hyderabad Dental College and Prohibition & Excise department, the latter emerged victorious. In another tie, Hyderabad Youth Force won over Osmania Hospital to enter the final.
