TS Congress in-charge Manickam Tagore informs party chief Sonia Gandhi will take a final call on appointing new chief to Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee

Hyderabad: All India Congress Committee in-charge for Telangana Manickam Tagore has stated that he would take views of at least 100 to 150 party functionaries including senior leaders, MPs, MLAs, key leaders etc in his exercise to shortlist the next TPCC chief.

He said that Uttam Kumar Reddy would continue to hold TPCC chief post until his successor is appointed. New chief will be appointed only after taking views from all concerned in TPCC, he added.

Addressing a press meet in Gandhi Bhavan on Wednesday, he said that Core Committee meeting was being held for this purpose and he would take individual opinions from Thursday onwards. Tagore said that he would take views of everyone and submit it to Congress president who will appoint the new PCC president for Telangana.

The AICC in-charge praised Uttam for effectively handling the State Congress responsibilities. "He never lost his patience and AICC thanks him for the way he conducted himself," Tagore said.
