Eligible poor must receive benefits transparently, says Collector Rahul Sharma

Gandra Satyanarayana Rao
Jayashankar Bhupalpally: MLA Gandra Satyanarayana Rao directed officials to accelerate construction of Indiramma houses and complete the sanctioned units within the prescribed targets. He reviewed the progress of the housing programme along with District Collector Rahul Sharma at the IDO office on Tuesday, in the presence of Housing Department officials, MPDOs and municipal authorities.
The MLA said officials must closely monitor construction from foundation to completion and submit mandal-wise reports on the progress of two-bedroom houses. He directed officials to speed up field inspections and beneficiary selection for the second phase, stressing that poverty should be the sole criterion without discrimination. Collector Rahul Sharma instructed officials to complete MB registrations and ensure timely bill payments. He also directed officials to expedite construction in Katarm Division, where progress remains low, and ensure housing benefits reach eligible poor families transparently.
