It's time people end repressive rule of NaMo, KCR'
Former Minister and Congress candidate from Bhongir Lok Sabha constituency Komatireddy Venkat Reddy hits out at BJP and TRS and urges people to end the dictatorial rule of both the parties by voting for the Congress in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls
Nalgonda: Former Minister and Congress candidate from Bhongir Lok Sabha constituency Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, in an exclusive interview with The Hans India, stated that it was time for the people to teach a fitting lesson to despotic Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and end their repressive ruling by voting for Congress.
"People have read about Hitler in history books. But now, they are experiencing him through the oppressive governance of Modi and KCR. They are falsely projecting themselves as visionary and legendary leaders of this country," Komati fumed.
He added that the former Prime Ministers from the Congress party, from Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru to Manmohan Singh, have made many significant contributions towards the growth of the country and brought in several key reforms that changed the country economically.
Calling the present Parliament elections a historical one, Komati urged the people of the State to support Congress in the upcoming Parliament elections to save the country from communal party like Bharatiya Janata Party and opportunist party like Telangana Rashtra Samithi.
"While the graph of Narendra Modi is on the decline, the results of recent MLC elections have reflected the angst of learnt people, teachers and graduates, against Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's dictatorial rule," he said.
"The BJP fielded party defected leaders as their MP candidates. Similarly, the TRS fielded businessmen and land grabbers as their party candidates. The Congress fielded people's leaders and those who stood in front row during Telangana agitation," Komati added.
Calling TRS the B-team of BJP, he alleged that both the parties with their hidden agenda were making false promises to woo voters in the upcoming Parliament elections.
Adding that All India Congress Committee chief Rahul Gandhi's Rs 6,000 per month aid to 20 crore poor of the nation and assurance of Minimum Support Price to farm products has become a hot topic in the State and the country, Komati listed out the failures and pending promises made by TRS and BJP during the elections and urged the people to not to fall for the honey-coated words of Modi and KCR.
Stating that Congress has reservations over the functioning of Electronic Voting Machines, Komati exuded confidence of winning half of MP seats (8) in the State if elections are carried out in a free and fair manner.
"TRS is planning to win the elections by using money and power," he alleged, urged people to repeat MLC result for the Lok Sabha elections and give a big jolt to "self-centered KCR".
Stating that the role of sitting MP and TRS MP candidate from Bhongir constituency Boora Narsaiah Goud was limited to newspaper statements and press meets during Telangana agitation, he recalled that he had resigned from his minister post and took up the hunger strike for more than a week in Nalgonda town to mount pressure on his own party high command for separate Telangana State.
"Once in power, we will work towards the establishment of RTC depot in Bhongir, halting all superfast trains at Bhongir station, speeding up of MMTS works up to Rayagiri railway station, establishing of IT SEZ in Bhongir MP territorial to provide jobs to youth, special attention to provide drinking water besides irrigation facility to barren lands to transform them into fertile," Komati promised.
