Kaleshwaram Project irrigates 80,000 acres in Nizamabad Rural: MLA Govardhan

The MLA along with District Collector Ram Mohan Rao participated in various activities at Honnazi Peta village in Dornpalli mandal on Thursday.
On this occasion, he launched the sluice built at the cost of Rs 61 lakh and opened the community hall in the village and also inaugurated a medical camp.
The MLA learned about the public health for doctors. Speaking at the event, he said that Rs 4.5 crore has been sanctioned for the development of three ponds, which will provide irrigation water to 1300 acres.
Groundwater has been rising for the past four years with the restoration of ponds under Mission Kakatiya, the MLA said.
Goverdhan said since rains were abundant this year, large-scale planting under the Harithaharam Programme was undertaken.

MLA said that it would provide water from the Kaleshwaram Project for 80,000 acres. District Collector Ram Mohan Rao said that the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is implementing a number of initiatives to provide development benefits to all castes, all religious communities. Greenery has been visible in the district for the past two years. He said the pollution level was reduced and the rains were higher.
He said that this year's record-breaking harvest paddy grain has been set up by procurement centers to provide all facilities without inconvenience to farmers.
He said that the programmes conducted in the villages for 30 days were a success and the villages looked clean. He explained that the government is spending Rs 54 crore every month on Aasra pensions.
Irrigation Engineers, officers, public representatives, Bhagwan Reddy, Jagan, Sarika and others were present on the occasion.
