Karimnagar: Communist Party of India (CPI) leaders held Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao responsible for the death of RTC employees. They had participated in the indefinite hunger strike in support to the RTC employees' strike in front of Karimnagar bus depot-I on Tuesday.

CPI district unit secretary Ponaganti Kedari alleged that the tough stand of the CM is driving the RTC employees into depression and those, who are sensitive, are ending their lives. The CM is responsible for the death of all those RTC employees, who died after the strike began from October 5. The strike has been continuing for the last 25 days and all the people's organisations and various sections of people had extended their support to the RTC employees' strike, but KCR is behaving stubbornly and not taking any steps to solve their issues, Kedari criticised.

CPI State joint secretary Kunamneni Sambashiva Rao, who saved the life of KCR during separate Telangana movement, was on indefinite hunger strike for the last three days in support of the RTC employees. Instead of inviting the RTC JAC leaders and settle the issue, KCR is not even thinking about the workers, he pointed out. If he (KCR) continues his stubborn behaviour towards the RTC employees, people will teach a fitting lesson in the coming days, he warned.

CPI leaders B Ashok, N Raju, B Thirupathi, G Vasudev, P Komaraiah, G Pochamallu, U Ravinder Reddy, G Ravi, P Raju, K Manikanta Reddy. Sada Shiva, M Srinivas Reddy and Katika Reddy were present along with others.
