A two-year-old girl who was kidnapped at Thondupalli under Shamshabd rural police station limits has been rescued by the police on Thursday.

The police said that the girl identified as Shilpi was kidnapped by one Sandeep, an auto-rickshaw driver. After the girl's father Sonu Kumar, lodged a complaint, the police examined the CCTV footage in the area and noticed the auto-rickshaw driver took the girl with him.

The police arrested Sandeep and have sent him for questioning.

On January 2, 2020 - a four-year-old girl was kidnapped by her close relative who sexually assaulted her later. The incident occurred in Konampet village in the Jayashankar Bhoopalpalli district. The accused was identified as Rasa Komraiah (36).

The girl was found in a cotton field by her parents who launched a search after she went missing.
