Komatireddy's missive to PM on Kaleshwaram project
Congress MP from Bhongir Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Thursday wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleging large scale corruption in construction of Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project.
Hyderabad: Congress MP from Bhongir Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Thursday wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi alleging large scale corruption in construction of Kaleshwaram lift irrigation project.
In his letter, his main charge was that tenders were not called for the works which were given to the existing agency which was executing the works.
He said that on August 6, the government had issued three orders with regard to according permission for entrustment of additional items resulting due enhancement of lifting capacity from 2TMC water per day to 3 TMC water per day for Medigadda Lift System, Annaram Lift System and Sundilla Lift System. He urged the Prime Minister to order a detailed inquiry and stop the above said works immediately.
