Kothagudem: The CPM party State leader K Ilaiah demanded the district administration to conduct medical camps in all villages immediately.
Speaking at a meeting conducted at the party office in Kothagudem on Friday, Ilaiah said people were suffering due to heavy prevalence of viral fevers in many of the villages, and the government had failed to control fevers like malaria, dengue, typhoid and others in the agency areas.
He also added due to staff crunch in the Primary Health Centres (PHC), people were not willing to visit PHCs and get treated.
The CPM leader appealed to officers concerned to immediately conduct health camps in agency villages for control of fevers.
District party secretary A Kanakaiah, party district leaders A Satyanarayana, J Krishna, mandal leaders N Satyanarayana, Amar Singh, D Venkanna, K Adinarayana, M Nageswara Rao and others attended the meeting.
